Peter Cox

Peter has been in private practice for over ten years, providing treatments for a range of clinical conditions in adults and adolescents. He is an experienced cognitive behaviour therapist who brings clarity, structure and practical tools to improve symptoms and functioning. He is able to integrate other evidence-based therapies including mindfulness and interpersonal psychotherapy so that treatment is tailored to each individual’s presentation and preferences. All patients are offered full (60mins) sessions based in a sound treatment plan and diagnosis.

Peter has particular strengths in helping patients recover from and/or effectively manage chronic pain, anxiety disorders, depression and mood disorders, traumatic stress, work stress, personality and anger. He is able to engage well with men and assist them better accept and resolve their specific issues, he is experienced in working with NESB populations , is able to work effectively with interpreters and can provide counselling in Portuguese.

Peter specialises in providing independent treatment through WorkCover and CTP systems as well as seeing clients through Medicare, health funds and privately.
