Abigail Kazal

Abigail has recognised expertise in public mental health, having worked as Senior Clinical Psychologist and Program Manager of St Vincent’s Hospital Gambling Treatment Program for thirteen years.

Abigail is a clinical psychologist with an Honours degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. She has over sixteen years experience working as a clinical psychologist, treating people for a variety of difficulties, including; depression, anxiety disorders (e.g., generalised anxiety, social phobia, excessive worry), addictions (e.g., drug/alcohol dependence, gambling problems) and relationship difficulties.  She also provides treatment for work-related stress, self esteem and confidence issues, eating disorders, sleep difficulties and chronic pain.

With extensive experience in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Abigail has also trained in various other evidence-based approaches, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Her primary focus is to tailor therapy to suit the individual needs of her clients.

Abigail is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (with endorsement to practice in Clinical Psychology), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and its College of Clinical Psychology.
